MANCHESTER VT. With a recession stressed environment felt across the globe, Music For Mankind® founder and U.N. Delegate for the United Nations World Food Program, Kelly Moore has once again been able to contribute locally by completing the 2nd annual Music For Mankind® Community Charity Food Drive in an effort to aid the Manchester Community Food Cupboard.
Music For Mankind® held two Food Drives for the Manchester Community Food Cupboard in April. The first was with Manchester Elementary Middle School (MEMS) which ran from April 6th through the 10th. The second was with Maple Street School, a private school in Manchester, which ran from April 27th through May 1st. Moore had addressed both schools in a presentation prior to the drives about Music For Mankind®, the Music For Mankind® Community Charity Drive, the Manchester Community Cupboard, and how the efforts of the student body will help hundreds of families with basic food and living needs throughout the year.

"I'm so impressed with the student's and their family's generosity." states Moore. "These are very difficult times, and to come forward and contribute as they have, to help others in their own community, says such wonderful things about their kindness, thoughtfulness and caring."
Moore appreciates working locally just as much as he does internationally, having recently come back from a trip to the Andes mountains in Peru. "I continue to feel it to be such an honor that I get to help abroad and at home. Doors continue to open up to me in this amazing effort, and as long as that happens, I will continue to walk through them and do all that I can to help."

In addition to the help provided by the students of both schools, Casella Waste Management donated rolling recycle bins in order to transport the amount of donations this year, which was much appreciated by all parties involved.
In just two years, Moore and his organization Music For Mankind ® have been seen on various blogs across the country with interviews coming from WCAX TV's "Across The Fence", Vermont Public Radio, and has been featured in various local and regional papers for his efforts. His promotional DVD continues to air nationally on Dish Network and on over 40 Community Access and college television stations around the Northeast. Portions of proceeds donated by Music For Mankind® have consistently gone toward local and regional efforts, as well as national and international causes including to the Myanmar region to help rebuild their community devastated by a cyclone one year ago this week.
Peru Fundraiser
So far we've raised $150 on the Peru Fundraiser page
and another $20 through the Music For Mankind® website. Our goal is $500. You can see how our rice bag is now 30% full! I'm so proud to be a part of such generosity. I can see and hear the joy and gratitude of the Chechuan people for your kindness. Please allow me to extend their heartfelt thanks to each of you who give just a little to help them continue to grow and prosper.
Speaking Engagements
In 2008 Kelly began speaking locally and regionally to groups, corporations and schools about Music For Mankind® and is available for speaking engagements. His presentations are dynamic, heartfelt and passionate. For more information click here.
