KELLY MOORE & EMERALD DREAMS IN CONCERT

MUSIC FOR MANKIND®

Kelly Moore & Emerald Dreams are performing concerts to benefit humanity in its darkest hours. The series, called Music For Mankind®, will debut at Burr and Burton Academy's Riley Center for the Arts in Manchester, Vermont on March 31, 2007 at 7:30 pm.

Sponsored by local and regional charitable organizations, proceeds will be donated to the United Nations World Food Program, The International Committee of the Red Cross and other local, regional, national and international organizations dedicated to providing relief in disaster areas around the world.

With two highly acclaimed CDs under his belt, Guitarist, Composer, Singer Kelly Moore and his ensemble Emerald Dreams, are captivating audiences with a musical blend of Celtic, folk, classical and jazz influences. This unique and acclaimed sextet performs lush harmonies and beautiful instrumentals with violin, flute, piccolo, guitars, bass, percussion and three vocalists. With a warm and humorous stage presence, Kelly Moore & Emerald Dreams delight audiences wherever they go.

Mr. Moore has performed with such notables as Roy Acuff, Minnie Pearl, Pete Seegar, and Elisabeth Von Trapp, and was a studio musician in Nashville for 15 years.

Jane Gilbert of the Vermont Symphony Orchestra called Mr. Moore, "a truly talented musician and singer!"

The members of Mr. Moore's ensemble Emerald Dreams are world-class musicians.

New York City violinist Heather Sommerlad has performed with the El Paso Symphony Orchestra, The Trans-Siberian Orchestra, and The Gilbert and Sullivan Company of El Paso, TX. She has toured the world, performing in Vienna, Jamaica, the Czech Republic and at Carnegie Hall. She was Conductor and 1 st Violinist for the Sage City Symphony of Bennington, VT.

Soprano vocalist and percussionist Lindsay Dyett toured with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Cats", the Mantovani Orchestra, and has performed with Stacy Keach in "The King and I", and with Carol Channing's tour of "Hello Dolly". She received the Lily Stoates Award in Orlando, Florida for her performance of Eliza Doolittle in "My Fair Lady", and performed as Christine in Ft. Worth's production of "Phantom of the Opera".

Flutist Rebecca Shepard performs with the Bennington Woodwind Quintet and is Principal Flutist for the Sage City Symphony of Bennington, VT. She is also Conductor and Director of several local bands.

Alto vocalist and percussionist Keri Greenaway has performed on NPR radio; performed the leading role of Maria in "The Sound of Music" at the Dorset Playhouse in Dorset, VT; and has performed leading roles with the Schenectady Light Opera in Schenectady , NY; the Orpheus Theatre in Oneonta, NY; and at Hubbard Hall in Cambridge, NY.

Bassist Christopher Faris has been Bassist, Musical Director and Band Leader for several Jazz groups and Classical symphonies, trios and quartets in Germany and the northeastern United States.

Tickets for the concert are $15 General Admission, $10 seniors and students.
