Friends of WFP is a U.S.-based, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that focuses on building support in the United States for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) and other hunger relief operations.

Feeding America
Feeding America is the nation's leading domestic hunger-relief charity whose mission is to feed America's hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks and engage our country in the fight to end hunger. Each year, the Feeding America network provides food to more than 25 million low-income people facing hunger in the United States, including more than 9 million children and nearly 3 million seniors.

The Prem Rawat Foundation
The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) advances the efforts of Prem Rawat, known also as Maharaji, to bring dignity, peace, and prosperity to people around the world. The Foundation has funded humanitarian initiatives in 29 countries.

Prem Rawat has traveled the world for forty years, bringing a message of peace. More than ten million people in fifty countries have come to hear him speak. Countless people have expressed how his inspiration has helped them find hope and fulfillment in their lives.

Words of Peace Global
Prem Rawat, widely known as Maharaji, articulates a message of hope in a time of rapid change and turmoil. Through Words of Peace he points to the possibility that each individual can find peace within, whatever is going on around them.

Prill Boyle
Like the women she writes about in Defying Gravity, Prill Boyle is a late bloomer. After graduating from college at 38, she became an English teacher. Then in January of 2000 she read an article in The New York Times about a 65-year old Kentucky woman named Wini Yunker who had waited 39 years to join the Peace Corps. Inspired by this woman's persistence and courage, Prill decided to write a book about late bloomers--even though she had never written anything before. At age 47, she left her teaching job to write full time.

Throughout her life, Rachel has cultivated two major passions: photography and travel. By combining her two loves, she brings her unique perspective to scenes from around the globe; her work ranges from the famous icons of Europe to rural Nicaragua.
