About Music For Mankind®
"There is no reason anyone on this planet should suffer from chronic hunger." -- Kelly Moore
Music For Mankind® is a series of benefit concerts featuring Kelly Moore. Proceeds of the concerts are contributed to World Food Program USA (WFP USA) (formerly Friends of the World Food Program) and other national and local humanitarian organizations for humanitarian relief in major disasters worldwide, as well as other humanitarian initiatives locally, regionally and nationally.
Helping Worldwide
Every day, 24,000 people die of hunger, 18,000 of them are children. Unfortunately, these numbers will continue to rise in the coming weeks and months as the cost of natural resources and the price of food continues to increase dramatically.
Singer, instrumentalist, composer Kelly Moore had an idea where he could make a difference with his musical talents to help those suffering from hunger. In 2007 that idea became a reality known as Music For Mankind®.
The Concert Series
Music For Mankind® is a series of benefit concerts where a portion of the proceeds are contributed to World Food Program USA and other national, regional, and local charities. It's overall goal is to provide entertainment and at the same time create awareness for a global issue that can be resolved. Since its inception, Music For Mankind® has been able to feed over 40,000 people on a local, national and global scale.
Music For Mankind® currently offers two music performance types:
- Kelly's original contemporary Folk/Rock and Celtic music which he performs solo, as a trio with two vocalists, or with the full six-piece ensemble of violin, flute/piccolo, double bass, guitars, vocalists and percussion
- "Give My Regards To Broadway" which Kelly performs as solo vocalist with piano accompaniment
